The responses will include, at a minimum, the following components.

 1.         A brief essay or "question and answer" paper defining the issue, identifying the Church's position, and explaining the morality of the question (in other words, Why does the Church hold one position over another?).  The material must be limited to one page.   Remember to make it appropriate for your intended reader or audience.   Other materials for your resource purposes are welcome.  Your synopsis of the material, however, will be critical in your evaluation.  Be sure to identify any aspects of the matter which are not settled.

 2.         Quotations from relevant parts of Church documents with appropriate references and citations. 

 3.         Bibliography of other articles for additional reading, if available.  Ethics and Medics and the Linacre Quarterly will probably be most helpful to you in addition to the Bishops' website, Priests for Life, American Life League and the Center for Bioethics and Culture.
